Parting Out a Set
Break a LEGO set down into its individual parts and add each component to your inventory automatically.
Overview
Parting out a set lets you automatically break a LEGO set into its individual parts and add them to your inventory in bulk. This is useful when you want to sell parts instead of the full set. You can access this feature via Store Inventory > Create Listing > Part out a Set
Starting a Part Out
- Open Inventory - Go to your store inventory page
- Start Part Out - Select Create Listing > Part out a Set
- Search Set - Find the LEGO set you want to break down
- Select Set - Choose the correct set from the results
- Continue - Click Next
Part Out Settings
After selecting a set, you will configure how the parts are added to your inventory.
Set Count
You can specify how many copies of the set you are parting out. The system will automatically calculate the total quantity of each part based on the set's inventory and this count.
- Set Count - Number of copies of the set you are parting out
Item Condition
Choose the condition for the set being parted out. This condition will apply to all parts generated from the set.
- Item Condition - Condition of the set being parted out
Minifigure Handling
Sets often include minifigures, which can be listed as complete figures or broken down into their individual parts (head, torso, legs, accessories). Choose how you want to handle minifigures in the parting process.
- Part out minifigures? - Choose how minifigures are handled
- List as complete minifigures - Minifigures will be listed as whole figures
- Break into individual parts - Minifigures will be broken down into their component parts for listing
Reviewing Parts
After continuing, you will see a full breakdown of all parts in the set.
For each item, you can:
- Adjust Quantity - Change how many of each part will be listed
- Set Price - Set or update the pricing per part
- Add Description - Add optional notes for buyers
Creating Listings
Once you have reviewed and adjusted the parts:
- Create Listings - Adds all selected parts to your inventory
After this step, each part will be created as an individual listing automatically.
